“The most satisfying aspects of being a spine surgeon for me is the patient satisfaction following treatment,” says Dr. An. “It is indeed a blessing and privilege to have an opportunity to serve, and making a positive difference in the patients’ lives is my priority. I have also taught numerous medical students, orthopedic residents and spine fellows over two decades, and it is a joy to contribute to their education. My clinical and translational basic science research over the past 30 years has been fulfilling as I believe that through scientific research, the progress is made that can benefit the patients ultimately.”
Dr. An earned his medical degree at University of Toledo (Ohio) College of Medicine and completed his residency at the University of Toledo Medical Center. He has completed a spine fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia.
