His career began after he earned his medical degree from the Tulane University School of Medicine. He then completed a residency at the University of California San Francisco School of Medicine.
Dr. Hankinson is certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery, the Congress of Neurological Surgery and the Neurosurgical Society of America.
