Spine Surgeon Leader to Know: Dr. Geoffrey McCullen of Lincoln Orthopaedic Center

Geoffrey M. McCullen, MD, is an orthopedic spine surgeon at Lincoln (Neb.) Orthopaedic Center. He has more than 18 years of experience in spine care evaluation and treatment and previously practiced at Neurosurgical and Spine Surgery in Lincoln, Neb. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and has previously served as a clinical instructor of orthopedic surgery at the University of California, San Diego.

Dr. McCullen is certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery. He focuses on conditions of the cervical, thoracic and lumbo-sacral spine, microsurgery, minimally invasive strategies and complex spinal reconstruction. He has written a book and authored nine chapters in spine surgery textbooks. He also serves on the editorial board of The Spine Journal.

Dr. McCullen earned his medical degree at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland and completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Dartmouth Medical School in Lebanon, N.H. He has also completed a spine surgery fellowship at SUNY Health Science Center in Syracuse, N.Y.
