Spine surgeon leader to know: Dr. Frank Acosta, Jr. of Keck Medicine of USC

Frank L. Acosta, Jr., MD, serves as a neurosurgery associate professor at Keck Medicine of USC in Los Angeles. He treats adult spinal deformity and failed back syndrome as well as performs revision spinal reconstruction and minimally invasive spine surgery.

Dr. Acosta is a member of AOSpine North America, American Association of Neurological Surgeons, Congress of Neurological Surgeons and North American Spine Society.

 

After earning his medical degree from Boston-based Harvard Medical School, Dr. Acosta completed a general surgery internship and his neurosurgery residency at University of California, San Francisco. He then completed his complex and reconstructive spine surgery fellowship at Chicago-based Northwestern University.
