Spine surgeon leader to know: Dr. Erik Bendiks of Georgia Spine and Orthopaedics

Erik Bendiks, MD, is a spine surgeon with Atlanta-based Georgia Spine & Orthopaedics.

Dr. Bendiks founded GSO in 2015 and established the Surgery Center of Roswell (Ga.) in 2018.

He speaks fluent English, Spanish and French and is a fellow of the American College of Orthopedic Surgery.

Previously Dr. Bendiks served as chief of spine surgery at University Orthopedics in Decatur, Ga.

He graduated from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas.

After medical school, Dr. Bendiks completed an orthopedic residency at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami and a fellowship in spine surgery at the University of Rochester (N.Y.).
