Spine surgeon leader to know: Dr. Eric Elowitz of Weill Cornell Brain and Spine Center

Board-certified neurosurgeon Eric H. Elowitz, MD, serves patients at Weill Cornell Brain and Spine Center in New York City. He is a neurological surgery and spine surgery associate professor at Weill Cornell Medicine.

Dr. Elowitz specializes in treating degenerative spinal disorders, like disc herniation, lumbar spondylolisthesis and cervical myelopathy. He performs minimally invasive spine surgery.

 

His research focuses on enhancing outcomes for minimally invasive surgery techniques. Dr. Elowitz has authored various chapters on the spinal fusion lateral approach.

 

After earning his medical degree from SUNY Downstate Medical Center in New York City, Dr. Elowitz completed his neurosurgical residency at the same institution.
