Dr. Nomoto is board-eligible and his clinical interests include minimally invasive techniques, and their application in complex reconstructive techniques for the cervical spine, adult and pediatric spinal deformity and degenerative scoliosis. He is also a co-author on a spine surgery textbook chapter on minimally invasive techniques to treating complex spinal deformities.
Dr. Nomoto has presented his research various spine society meetings. His research interests include minimally invasive lateral approaches for lumbar fusion, application of minimally invasive techniques for the correction of spinal deformities and effects of spinal deformity correction on pelvic parameters.
Dr. Nomoto earned his medical degree at Stanford (Calif.) University School of Medicine and completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Harbor UCLA Medical Center in Torrance, Calif. He has also completed a spine surgery fellowship at the San Diego Center for Spinal Disorders.
