Dr. Ananthakrishnan is an assistant professor of orthopedic surgery at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta. She routinely performs complex spinal reconstruction surgery and focuses on adolescent and adult scoliosis.
Dr. Ananthakrishnan received her medical degree from Albany Medical College in New York. She underwent fellowship training at the University of California Medical Center in San Francisco, where she trained with David Bradford, MD, a pioneer in scoliosis surgery.
In 2009, she co-founded the nonprofit Orthopaedic Link, which is dedicated to improving orthopedic care in the developing world through mobilization of unused implants from the U.S. She is a candidate member of the Scoliosis Research Society.
Dr. Ananthakrishnan’s practice focuses on strengthening, stretching and general conditioning, or “prehab”, in addition to surgical care. She speaks French and Spanish.
