Dr. Bhowmick specializes in complex spinal surgery with an emphasis on craniocervical junction pathology and adult spinal deformities. He serves as an associate professor and section chief of spinal neurosurgery at the UNC School of Medicine in Chapel Hill. Dr. Bhowmick received his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston and underwent spinal neurosurgery fellowship training at the Cleveland Clinic.
He is the North Carolina Spine Society’s president and a Congress of Neurological Surgeons, AO Spine North America and North American Spine Society member. Dr. Bhowmick’s research has been published in a variety of scientific journals.
