Spine surgeon leader to know: Dr. Dean Chou of University of California San Francisco Medical Center

Dean Chou, MD, is a spine surgeon and neurosurgery professor at the University of California San Francisco Medical Center.

Treating adult scoliosis, spinal deformities and spine tumors, Dr. Chou is also the associate director of the University of California San Francisco Spine Center.

 

Dr. Chou is a member of the Scoliosis Research Society, American Association of Neurological Surgeons, Congress of Neurological Surgeons and North American Spine Society.

 

After earning his medical degree from the University of California San Francisco School of Medicine, Dr. Chou completed his residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore. Dr. Chou is also fellowship trained from the Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix.
