Spine surgeon leader to know: Dr. David Polly Jr. of University of Minnesota

David Polly Jr., MD, is a spine surgeon and chief of spine services at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis.

Additionally, Dr. Polly is an orthopedic surgery professor and holds the James W. Ogilvie Chair at the University of Minnesota. He is recognized for his work in biomechanics and outcomes

research.

 

Dr. Polly previously served as the vice president of the Scoliosis Research Society. He is board certified in orthopedic surgery and has clinical interests in scoliosis, spinal tumors and spine

degenerative diseases.

 

After earning his medical degree from the Uniformed Services University of Health and Sciences in Bethesda, Md., Dr. Polly completed his residency at the Walter Reed Army Medical

Center in Bethesda, Md. Dr. Polly is also fellowship trained from the University of Minnesota.
