Dr. Christensen received his medical degree from the Seattle-based University of Washington School of Medicine. He underwent spine surgery fellowship training at the Mayo Clinic Foundation in Rochester, Minn.
He previously served as the orthopedic spine surgery consultant to the Air Force Surgeon General. Dr. Christensen has held a variety of teaching appointments and his research has been published extensively.
Dr. Christensen is conversational in Thai, Laotian and Khmer. He serves as a scoutmaster of a local Boy Scout troop.
