Dr. Baskin’s focus is in spine surgery, brain surgery, brain tumors, endoscopy, neuro-oncology, neuromas and several other fields.
Dr. Baskin earned his medical degree from Mount Sinai School of Medicine at City University of New York. He had an internship and residency at the University of California. He had a fellowship in neural protection in Cape Town, South Africa. He had an additional fellowship in brain endorphins in San Francisco.
Dr. Baskin has received several national and international honors and awards. He has served as principal investigator several times throughout his career. He has published more than 100 scientific manuscripts and book chapters and is currently the program director at the Houston Methodist Neurological Institute.
