Dr. Vacca received his medical degree from the University of Nevada School of Medicine in Reno and completed his neurosurgical residency at Detroit-based Henry Ford Hospital. His clinical interests include cerebral aneurysms, brain tumors and spine surgery.
He is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, Congress of Neurological Surgeons and American Medical Association, among other professional organizations. Dr. Vacca is the only area neurosurgeon to perform motor mapping, a procedure performed during brain tumor surgery to minimize the risk of paralysis.
