Dr. Sucato is a reviewer for the Journal of Pediatric Orthopaedics and Clinical Orthopaedics and Related Research, and a consultant reviewer for Spine. He is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, and his clinical interests include discectomy, lumbar degenerative disc disease, scoliosis, spinal deformity, spinal fusion and thoracoscopy.
“Being a spine surgeon leader in the field today to me means first, always putting the patient first and at the center of all we do,” said Dr. Sucato in a Becker’s Spine Review article. “This leads to three things leaders provide: first, great patient care; second, important and quality research; and finally, education of residents, fellows and colleagues.”
Dr. Sucato earned his medical degree from State University of New York at Buffalo School of Medicine, where he also completed his residency in orthopedic surgery. He also completed a fellowship in pediatric orthopedics and scoliosis at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children.
