Spine Surgeon Leader to Know: Dr. Daniel Park of William Beaumont Hospital

Daniel K. Park, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic spine surgeon at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Mich. He serves as medical director of the Orthopedic Spine Research Lab at William Beaumont Hospital and director of the orthopedic minimally invasive spine surgery.

His research interests include minimally invasive surgery and cervical spine disorders. He has been active in research throughout his career and received several awards at national meetings, including from the Cervical Spine Research Society, Lumbar Spine Research Society and American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.

 

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Park serves as an assistant professor in the department of orthopedic surgery at the Oakland University School of Medicine. He is a member of the Korean American Spine Society and International Society for the Advancement of Spine Surgery.

 

Dr. Park earned his medical degree at Duke University Medical School in Durham, N.C., and completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Rush University in Chicago. His additional training includes a fellowship in spine surgery from Emory University in Atlanta.
