Dr. Gelb is board-certified in orthopedic surgery. His clinical interests include adult and pediatric deformity, disc herniation and replacement, image guided spine surgery, minimally invasive spine surgery, myelopathy, radiculopathy, spinal reconstructive surgery, spinal stenosis, spinal trauma and spinal tumors. Prior to joining University of Maryland Medical Center, Dr. Gelb served as assistant professor of orthopedics at Penn State Hershey (Pa.) College of Medicine.
Dr. Gelb earned his medical degree New York University School of Medicine, and he completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Rochester (N.Y.). He has also completed an orthopedic spine fellowship at Washington University in St. Louis and an Yves Cotrel Fellowship to study spine surgery in Paris.
