Dr. Yen specializes in chronic neck pain, degenerative disc disease, sciatica, spina bifida and spondylolisthesis among other spinal conditions.
His research interests include minimally invasive spine surgery, complex spine, tumors and radiosurgery.
Dr. Yen earned his medical degree from Kaohsiung Medical University in Taiwan, where he also completed his first neurosurgical residency.
He arrived at the University of Virginia in 2007, where he completed his second neurosurgical residency and later completed a minimally invasive spine fellowship at Tampa-based University of South Florida.
