Spine surgeon leader to know: Dr. Christopher DeWald of Rush University Medical Center

Christopher DeWald, MD, is a spine surgeon and professor at Chicago-based Rush University Medical Center.

Board certified in orthopedic surgery, Dr. DeWald specializes in scoliosis, spinal deformities, minimally invasive surgery and herniated discs.

 

Dr. DeWald’s research is routinely published in the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery, Spine and Clinical Orthopaedics and Related Research.

 

After earning his medical degree from Chicago-based Rush Medical College, Dr. DeWald completed his residency at the University of Illinois Hospital & Health Sciences System in Chicago. He underwent fellowship training at Rush University Medical Center and Shriners Hospital for Children-Chicago.
