Dr. DeWald is an assistant professor and director of spinal deformity at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. He received his medical degree from Rush Medical College at Rush University and completed Chicago Spine Fellowship training. Dr. DeWald performs thoroscopic spine surgery, adult spinal reconstruction and scoliosis surgery.
He is interested in fusionless scoliosis surgery. His research has been published in a variety of peer-reviewed scientific publications, and Dr. DeWald was voted among the top 10 to 15 percent of Top Doctors in America by U.S. News & World Report and Castle Connolly.
