Spine surgeon leader to know: Dr. Chris Stephens of The Kentucky Spine Institute

Board-certified orthopedic surgeon Chris Stephens, MD, serves patients at The Kentucky Spine Institute in Lexington.

Specializing in treating cervical and lumbar spine degeneration conditions and tumors, Dr. Stephens also has expertise in general orthopedics.  

 

Spine, Journal of Clinical Pathology, Journal of Spinal Oncology and Journal of Spinal Disorders, among others, have published his work.

 

A member of North American Spine Society, Dr. Stephens is also affiliated with American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and Kentucky Orthopaedic Society.

 

After obtaining his medical degree from Nashville-based Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, Dr. Stephens completed his internship and orthopedic residency at the same institution. He then completed his spine surgery fellowship at Cleveland-based Case Western Reserve University.
