Spine surgeon leader to know: Dr. Chris DeWald of Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush

Chris DeWald, MD, is a spine surgeon at Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush in Chicago.

Additionally, Dr. DeWald serves as an assistant professor and director of spinal deformities at Chicago-based Rush University Medical Center. He is on the editorial boards of the Spine Journal and Journal of Spinal Disorders.

 

Dr. DeWald was named a Top Doctor by U.S. News & World Report and Castle Connolly. He is a fellow of the North American Spine Society, American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and Scoliosis Research Society.

 

After earning his medical degree from Rush Medical College in Chicago, Dr. DeWald completed his residency at Shriners Hospital for Children in Chicago. Dr. DeWald is also fellowship trained from Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Medical Center in Chicago.
