Spine surgeon leader to know: Dr. Charles Rosen of UC Irvine Health

Charles Rosen, MD, is a spine surgeon at the University of California Irvine Health in Orange County. He is also the founding director of the university’s spine center.

Board certified in orthopedic surgery, Dr. Rosen specializes in spinal disorders, spinal degeneration, herniated discs and spinal stenosis.

 

Dr. Rosen is the president of the Association of Medical Ethics. His research interests include spinal biomechanics, artificial lumbar disc replacements and spinal motion.

 

After earning his medical degree from the University of California San Diego, Dr. Rosen completed his residency at the Hospital for Joint Diseases Orthopaedic Institute in New York City. Dr. Rosen is also fellowship trained from the Rancho Los Angeles Medical Center.
