Spine Surgeon Leader to Know: Dr. Charles Reitman of Baylor Clinic

Charles A. Reitman, MD, is director of orthopedic surgery for the faculty group practice, Baylor Clinic, and a professor in the department of orthopedic surgery at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. He also serves as chief of orthopedic surgery service at Ben Taub Hospital in Houston. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Medical Association, Harris County Medical Society and North American Spine Society.

Dr. Reitman is a certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He has a professional interest in spine surgery, with a special focus on spine trauma and spinal disorders. His clinical interests include back injuries, bone marrow inflammation osteomyelitis, fractures, cervical herniated discs, cervical spine diseases and cervical spondylosis.

Dr. Reitman’s hospital affiliations include The Methodist Hospital, Texas Children’s Hospital and St Luke’s Episcopal Hospital, all in Houston. He provides teaching and mentoring for Baylor College of Medicine’s medical student, orthopedic residency and fellowship programs.

Dr. Reitman earned his medical degree at Baylor College of Medicine, where he also completed his residency in orthopedic surgery and a fellowship in spine surgery.
