Founder of The Maryland Spine Center, Dr. Edwards specializes in spine disorders, kyphosis and spondylolisthesis. He has 19 medical patents and has contributed his research to more than 150 book chapters and medical journals.
Dr. Edwards served as the president of the Orthopedic Trauma Association and the director of the Spinal Fixation Study Group. He is a member of the Scoliosis Research Society, American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and North American Spine Society, among others.
After earning his medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore, Dr. Edwards completed an internship and residency at Yale-New Haven (Conn.) Hospital.
