Dr. Edwards is considered an expert at diagnosing and treating spine conditions, including scoliosis, osteoarthritis, pediatric and adults spinal deformities and complex degenerative spine conditions.
Dr. Edwards received his medical degree from the University of Maryland Medical School in Baltimore. He completed his internship and residency at Emory University in Atlanta. He had two fellowships. One was at Washington University of St. Louis and the other was at the Maryland Spine Center.
Under Dr. Edwards’ leadership the Maryland Spine Center was selected as one of five national centers to participate in the National Institutes of Health’s first clinical trial on adult scoliosis. Dr. Edwards has had his research featured in several academic journals, and he was named a “Top Doc” by Baltimore magazine and was featured on the cover of the November 2014 issue.
