Spine surgeon leader to know: Dr. Camden Whitaker of Kansas Spine Specialists

Camden Whitaker, MD, is an orthopedic spine surgeon with Kansas Spine Specialists in Wichita, Kan. Dr. Whitaker is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Medical Association, among other organizations.

Dr. Whitaker is especially interested in advancing technologies for minimally invasive spine surgery. He has been involved in developing new instrumentation for device companies, and researched the gamut of spinal topics.

 

After graduating from University of Kansas School of Medicine in Kansas City, Dr. Whitaker completed an orthopedic residency at Shriners Children Hospital in St. Louis. He then did an orthopedic surgery residency at University of Kansas School of Medicine in Wichita and a spine fellowship at Texas Back Institute in Plano. Dr. Whitaker also completed a post-fellowship spine trauma rotation at Rothman Spine Institute and Thomas Jefferson University, both in Philadelphia.
