His career began after he earned his medical degree from the Vermillion-based South Dakota School of Medicine. He completed a residency at the St. Louis-based Shriners Hospital and a residency at the Wichita-based University of Kansas. His completed his fellowship at the Twin Cities Spine Center in Minneapolis.
Dr. Adams is a noted researcher and has had his research appear in many peer reviewed publications.
Dr. Adams is a member of several professional societies including the American Medical Association and the North American Spine Society.
