Spine surgeon leader to know: Dr. Ben Zion Roitberg of The University of Chicago Medicine

Board-certified neurosurgeon Ben Zion Roitberg, MD, specializes in disc stenosis, myelopathy, radiculopathy, instability, lower back pain and spinal conditions.

Dr. Roitberg leads clinical studies on enhancing outcomes of neurosurgical patients with spinal diseases. Right now, he is testing methods to speed spinal cord injury recovery.

 

He serves as editor-in-chief of Neurological Research.

 

He obtained his medical degree from Jerusalem, Israel-based Hebrew University Hadassah Medical School and completed his residency at University of Illinois Medical Center in Chicago.
