Dr. Shamie was certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery in 2003. His clinical interests include bone protein implant, cervical spine, laminectomy, metabolic bone disease, microsurgery, myelopathy, neuro endoscopy, rheumatoid arthritis, sciatica, osteoporosis, spinal tumor and stenosis.
Dr. Shamie earned his medical degree at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago. He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at St. Mary’s Medical Center in San Francisco. He has completed two fellowships at UCLA School of Medicine — in spinal surgery and bone research.
Dr. Shamie will speak on “What Will Healthcare Reform Mean for Orthopedics, Spine, Pain Management and ASCs” at the 11th Annual Orthopedic, Spine and Pain Management-Driven ASC Conference in Chicago from June 13 to 15, 2013.
