Spine surgeon leader to know: Dr. Aruna Ganju of Northwestern Medicine

Board-certified neurosurgeon Aruna Ganju, MD, serves patients at the Northwestern Center for Comprehensive Orthopaedic and Spine Care in Chicago.

Specializing in spinal column and cord injury, Dr. Ganju treats traumatic, degenerative and neoplastic processes. She also holds an interest in treating spinal cord tumors. Dr. Ganju is a member of the Spine Oncology Study Group, which researches treatments for patients with spinal tumors.

 

After receiving her medical degree from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, Dr. Ganju completed a neurological surgery residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. She then completed a complex and reconstructive spine surgery fellowship at Northwestern McGaw/Northwestern Memorial Hospital.
