Dr. Deukmedjian specialties include minimally invasive and endoscopic procedures. He developed a minimally invasive spine surgery procedure known as Deuk Laser Disc Repair. The procedure can be used in the treatment of back and neck pain resulting from herniated discs, bulging discs, spinal stenosis and degenerative disc disease.
“Back and neck pain are the most common disorders affecting the spine,” said Dr. Deukmedjian in a Becker’s Spine Review article. “Spine surgeons play a key role is shaping the care of patients suffering with degenerative and traumatic spinal conditions including chronic back and neck pain. If the correct diagnoses are made as to the cause of the pain and a properly executed treatment is rendered, 90 percent-plus of back and neck pain can be cured.”
Dr. Deukmedjian earned his medical degree at University of Southern California School of Medicine in Los Angeles. He completed his residency and a fellowship in neurosurgery at Shands Hospital at University of Florida in Gainesville.
