Spine Surgeon leader to Know: Dr. Andrew Dossett of The Carrell Clinic

Andrew Dossett, MD, is an orthopedic spine surgeon practicing at The Carrell Clinic in Dallas. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and a member of the North American Spine Society. His hospital affiliations include Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas, Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children in Dallas and North Central Surgical Center, also in Dallas.

Dr. Dossett is a spine consultant for the Dallas Stars hockey team, Texas Rangers baseball club and Dallas Cowboys. He also serves as a spine consultant to several Division I athletic programs and is a member of the National Football League Team Physicians and the Major League Baseball Team Physicians Organizations. He is also the author of a number of articles on fusions in the lumbar spine, as well as neck injuries in athletes.

 

Dr. Dossett is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, and his clinical practice focuses on back injuries, cervical herniated discs, head and neck disorders and lumbar degenerative disc disease.

 

Dr. Dossett earned his medical degree at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, where he also completed his residency in orthopedic surgery. He has also completed a fellowship in spine surgery at the Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic in Los Angeles.
