Dr. Vokshoor has made numerous contributions to peer-reviewed journals, and his submissions include topics such as the surgical treatment algorithms for cervical spondylotic myelopathy, spinal stenosis and lumbar degenerative disease. He is board-certified and his clinical interests include treatment of adult spinal and cranial disorders, disc degeneration, complex tumors, dynamic stabilization and motion preservation.
“Spine surgery can be an extremely gratifying profession when patients are well informed and participate in their health and their wellness,” said Dr. Vokshoor in a Becker’s Spine Review article. “These can be patients who have the highest risk of loss and paralysis, and sometimes the greatest gain. This makes spine surgery satisfying — when it’s able to help with the recovery of the nervous and skeletal system from injury, tumor or trauma and to see patients that have the greatest risk of loss recover from their disease.”
Dr. Vokshoor earned his medical degree at the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine in Richmond. He has completed his neurosurgery residency training at Ohio State University in Columbus and a complex spine fellowship at the University of South Florida in Tampa.
