Dr. Araghi is a board-certified orthopedic spine surgeon, and he focuses on minimally invasive surgery and arthroplasty, as well as treatment of scoliosis, spinal fractures and spinal stenosis. He is actively involved in numerous clinical trials, including the Post-Discectomy Annular Repair Study using X-Close. He has also been involved in the development of instrumentation, such as the Alphatech GLIF Fusion System and Pioneer Surgical Posterior Interspinous Fixation System. He has previously served on the GE Scientific Advisory Board.
Dr. Araghi serves as an associate editor of The Spine Journal, and has authored numerous journal articles and book chapters. He is a member of the North American Spine Society and the Arizona Medical Association. He has won a number of awards, including the President’s Citation Award from the New York State Osteopathic Medical Society.
Dr. Araghi earned his medical degree at the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in Old Westbury and completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Peninsula Hospital Center in Far Rockaway. He has completed a spine reconstructive surgery fellowship at Texas Back Institute in Plano as well as advanced spine training under Professor Jurgen Harms in Langensteinbach, Germany.
