Spine surgeon leader to know: Dr. Alan Moelleken of The Spine and Orthopedic Center

Alan Moelleken, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic spine surgeon at The Spine and Orthopedic Center in Santa Barbara, Calif.

Dr. Moelleken received his medical degree from the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia and underwent spine surgery fellowship training at New York City-based New York University.

He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, North American Spine Society and American Medical Association, among other professional organizations. Dr. Moelleken has published articles in several peer-reviewed scientific journals. For the past nine years, he has served as chairman of the monthly Tri-County Spine Conference.
