Spine Surgeon leader to Know: Dr. Alan Dacre of OrthoMontana

Alan Dacre, MD, is an orthopedic spine surgeon practicing at OrthoMontana in Billings. He also provides care at Glendive (Mont.) Medical Center and St. Vincent’s Hospital in Billings, Mont. He is a member of the North American Spine Society, Neufeld Society and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He has served on the board of directors for the Montana Orthopedic Society.

Dr. Dacre is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, and he specializes in reconstructive orthopedic surgery, with a focus on adult and pediatric spine surgery. His clinical interests include spinal deformity, cervical herniated discs, cervical spine disorders, lumbar degenerative disc disease, lumbar spinal stenosis and scoliosis.

Dr. Dacre earned his medical degree at Loma Linda (Calif.) University School of Medicine. He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He has also completed a fellowship in spine surgery from Sinai Hospital of Baltimore.
