Spine surgeon leader to know: Dr. A. Nick Shamie of Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center

A. Nick Shamie, MD, is a spine surgeon at the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center.

In addition, Dr. Shamie serves as an orthopedic and neurosurgery professor at the UCLA School of Medicine. He spent two terms as president of the American College of Spine Surgery and was elected as an expert reviewer for the Medical Board of California.

 

Board certified in orthopedic surgery, Dr. Shamie’s clinical interests include cervical spine, facet joint syndrome, nerve tumors, sciatica and spinal cord stimulators.

 

After earning his medical degree from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago, Dr. Shamie completed his residency at St. Mary’s Medical Center in San Francisco. Dr. Shamie is also fellowship trained from UCLA School of Medicine.
