Spine specialist leader to know: Dr. Lisa Foster of Emory Healthcare

Lisa Foster, MD, is a spine surgeon specializing in nonoperative spine care at Atlanta-based Emory Healthcare.

Dr. Foster’s clinical interests include back pain, epidural steroid injections, facet blocks, neck pain and radiofrequency ablations. She has additional training in minimally invasive, fluoroscopic guided procedures for treating various spine disorders.

 

Most recently, Dr. Foster co-authored a book chapter on the workup and conservative management of lumbar degenerative disc disease in Advanced Concepts in Lumbar Degenerative Disk Disease.

 

Dr. Foster earned her medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Kansas City. She then went on to complete her residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation and her fellowship in interventional pain medicine at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta.
