Dr. Owens treats degenerative conditions of the cervical and lumbar spine, scoliosis and minimally invasive spine surgery.
His career began after he earned his medical degree from the University of Louisville. He stayed at the university for a residency in orthopedic surgery. During his residency, Dr. Owens was the administrative chief resident and earned a research award. He then completed a spine surgery fellowship at the Norton Leatherman Spine Center in Louisville.
Dr. Owens is a member of several professional societies including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the North American Spine Society.
