Dr. Buttram Jr. specializes in general neurosurgery with a focus on minimally invasive spine techniques.
He began his career after earning his medical degree from Greenville, N.C.-based East Carolina University. He completed his internship, residency and fellowship at the University of Tennessee at Memphis.
Dr. Buttram Jr. is a member of several professional societies and multiple peer reviewed journals have published his work.
Outside of his professional career, Dr. Buttram Jr. is a certified scuba instructor.
