New York City-based Mount Sinai neurosurgeon Christopher Kellner, MD, was elected chair of the joint American Association of Neurological Surgeons/Congress of Neurological Surgeons Cerebrovascular Section.
Dr. Kellner’s one-year term began after the Society for Neurointerventional Surgeons and Cerebrovascular Section Joint Meeting in Seattle on July 23, according to an Aug. 11 Mount Sinai news release.
Dr. Kellner is director of the Cerebrovascular Center, Intracerebral Hemorrhage Program and Enhanced Stroke Recovery Program at Mount Sinai. He is also an associate professor of neurosurgery at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City.
The American Association of Neurological Surgeons was founded in 1931 and has more than 12,000 members worldwide. It partners with the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, founded in 1951, for educational activities.
