Spine surgeon leader to know: Dr. Robert Molinari of U of Rochester Medical Center

Robert Molinari, MD, is a neurosurgeon and spine surgeon at the University of Rochester (N.Y.) Medical Center.

He's board-certified and fellowship-trained in spine surgery, according to the University of Rochester Medical Center's website. He received his medical degree and completed a residency in orthopedic surgery at New York City-based Mount Sinai School of Medicine. Dr. Molinari did a fellowship in spine surgery at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis.

Dr. Molinari has international recognition as an expert in complex spine surgery and has authored eight book chapters and more than 60 articles in the field. He's currently a medical reviewer for the Journal of Spinal Disorders, Global Spine Journal and Current Opinions in Orthopaedics.

Dr. Molinari is a veteran and served as the United States Armed Forces regional expert for treating complex spine disorders. He still has a military teaching appointment at Bethesda, Md.-based Armed Forces Medical School.
