Spine surgeon leader to know: Dr. Kara Beasley of Boulder Neurosurgical & Spine Associates

Kara Beasley, DO, is a board-certified neurosurgeon at Boulder (Colo.) Neurosurgical & Spine Associates.

Dr. Beasley performs spinal and cranial surgery. She received her doctor of osteopathic medicine degree from the Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine at Midwestern University in Glendale, where she also received a master of arts degree in biomedical ethics. She completed her general neurosurgery residency at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and underwent stereotactic radiosurgery fellowship training at Camden, N.J.-based Cooper University Hospital and functional and restorative neurosurgery fellowship training at The Cleveland Clinic Foundation.

She is one of the only dual-credentialed neurosurgeon bioethicists. Dr. Beasley performs endoscopic and open tumor surgery, radiosurgery and complex spine surgery, among other procedures.
