Kurt Von Rueden, MD, is a spine surgeon at Austin (Texas) Spine. He is the founder of Texas Scoliosis and Spine, which became Austin Spine in 2004.
With more than 25 years of experience, Dr. Von Rueden is a spinal consultant to the University of Texas in Austin. He is also on The Spine Journal's editorial staff for.

After earning his medical degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School in Minneapolis, Dr. Von Rueden completed his residency at Chicago-based Rush Presbyterian-St. Luke's Medical Center. Dr. Von Rueden is also fellowship trained from Denver Children's Hospital.
