Spine surgeon leader to know: Dr. James Yue of the Yale School of Medicine

James J. Yue, MD, is co-chief of orthopedic spine surgery at Yale University School of Medicine in New Haven, Conn.

He directs the ACGME Yale Spine Fellowship and is the lead surgeon for motion sparing and endoscopic spine surgery.

 

After graduating from Northwestern University School of Medicine in Chicago, Dr. Yue completed his residency at Case Western Reserve University Hospitals of Cleveland and his fellowships at the RA Cowley Shock Trauma Hospital in Baltimore and at the Queen's Medical Centre in Nottingham, U.K.

 

Dr. Yue has been the principal investigator on several FDA and non-FDA clinical trials for disc replacement, motion sparing, and endoscopic spine surgery clinical trials. He has published and presented over 100 articles and two spinal surgery textbooks and was named Best Doctor in New York: Orthopedic Surgery by NY Magazine in 2015.
