Alan Daniels, MD, is a spine surgeon practicing at University Orthopedics in Rhode Island. He specializes in complex spinal disorders and treats patients suffering from scoliosis, kyphosis, flatback syndrome, revision spinal surgery, degenerative spinal disease in addition to spinal trauma and spinal tumors.

Dr. Daniels conducts research on spinal biomechanics, spinal implant technology, prevention of complications and spinal infection following surgery as well as correction of complex spinal deformity. He has more than 70 national and international research posters and presentations in addition to publishing over 65 peer reviewed research studies.

 

He earned his medical degree from the Oregon Health and Science University in Portland. He went on to complete an orthopedic surgical residency at Rhode Island Hospital and completed an orthopedic trauma fellowship and then an orthopedic and spinal research fellowship at Brown University in Rhode Island.
