Spine surgeon leader to know: Dr. Daniel Bursick of UPMC

Daniel Bursick, MD, is presently the chief of the Division of Neurosurgery at the University of Pennsylvania State University School of Medicine in addition to being a clinical assistant professor at UPMC. His specialties include spinal surgery as well as neurosurgical trauma.

Dr. Bursick attended medical school at M.S. Hershey School of Medicine at Pennsylvania State University. He went on to complete his neurosurgical residency at UPMC. Dr. Bursick received his fellowship in neurosurgery at the National Hospital for Nervous Diseases in London. He is a member of the American College of Surgeons, America Association of Neurological Surgeons and Congress of Neurological Surgeons.
