Spine surgeon leader to know: Dr. Peter Ullrich of Titan Spine

Peter Ullrich, MD, is the co-founder and CEO of Titan Spine, and a former surgeon who previously practiced with NeuroSpine Center of Wisconsin in Appleton. He is also the co-founder of Spine-Health.com, one of the most comprehensive online spine educational resources for patients. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and North American Spine Society.

Dr. Ullrich has a professional interest in treating degenerative and traumatic disorders of the cervical, thoracic and lumbosacral spine as well as performing surgical instrumentation and fusion for degenerative conditions such as spondylolisthesis and for spinal instability caused by tumor, infection or trauma. Additionally, he has expertise in anterior lumbar interbody fusion for degenerative disc disease.

 

Dr. Ullrich co-founded Titan Spine in 2005, and he developed the company's first ENDOSKELETON lumbar interbody fusion device. He has presented his research work at a number of national society meetings, and has had his work published in peer-reviewed journals such as Spine.

 

Dr. Ullrich earned his medical degree at University of Wisconsin School of Medicine in Madison and completed his residency at the Grand Rapids (Mich.) Orthopaedic Surgery Residency Program. He has also completed a spine fellowship at University of Utah in Salt Lake City.
