Hartford Hospital Receives Joint Commission Gold Seal of Approval for Joint and Spine

Hartford (Conn.) Hospital earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval for its spine and joint center programs, according to Norwalk Plus Magazine.

Hartford Hospital is one of the only hospitals in the Northeast to hold certifications from the Joint Commission for hip, knee and shoulder joint replacements as well as spine surgery.

The hospital had to meet commission requirements in three core areas: compliance with consensus-based national standards; effective use of evidence-based clinical practice guidelines for management and care; and an organized approach to performance measurement and improvement.
